First Quarter Report Cards:
The first quarter ends on October 17th. Look for the sign up for parent/teacher report card conferences to go home on October 13th. Report cards will be sent home on Tuesday, October 21st. These meetings are an important component of the parent/teacher partnership as we work together to provide your child with the best education possible. Remember that you can access your child’s current grades at any time through the Gradelink website or phone app. Please, reach out if you need your login credentials.
K3 Classroom Spotlight – Ms. McAfee
The K3 class had an exciting and educational visit from Ms. Kim’s Amazing Pets! The children were thrilled to meet and learn about a variety of animals up close. Ms. Kim taught us interesting facts about each animal and how to care for them. We loved seeing and gently petting some of the animals such as the soft chinchilla, the slow-moving turtles, different sized snakes and lizards. It was such a fun, hands-on experience that helped us learn more about animals, their habitats, and how to show love and kindness towards all creatures.5

Arrival/Dismissal Reminder
Our school day begins at 8:00AM for all students with free breakfast served from 7:15AM to 7:45AM. Grades K3-2 dismiss from class at 3:15PM and grades 3-8 dismiss from class at 3:30PM. Make every effort to have your child arrive to school with enough time to be in their class prior to the 8:00AM bell, and please avoid picking up your child prior to the end of the school day.
Grade 8 Classroom Spotlight – Mr. Brown
In 8th Grade, we’ve been busy learning and exploring! In Religion class, we’ve been diving into what a worldview is, while in Science we’re discovering how friction works. In Math, we’ve been working with variables and learning how they help us solve problems. Last Wednesday, our Middle School took a fun trip to Discovery World, where we got to explore and learn hands-on. Earlier this year, we also had a Salsa-Making Competition—and congratulations to Jaleiah, Madisyn, Audrianna, Brooklyn D., and Samarriah for creating the winning salsa!
