Welcome Back!
Thank you, parents and teachers, for making the first few days of school a great success! Garden Homes is proud to be serving 275 students in K4-8th grades. Our theme for the school year is “A Mighty Fortress” based upon Psalm 18:2, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.” We are looking forward to a new year growing academically and spiritually.
Back To School Bash This Friday
To celebrate the first week back to school, we will be hosting a backyard bash from 3:30PM to 5:00PM on Friday, August 28. There will be a bounce house, numerous games, face painting, root beer floats, and special gest vendor Phresh Lemonade. We look forward to seeing you Friday and we hope the event provides a time for you and your child to have fun together.
Weekly Email Communication
Every week teachers send the classroom homenote to the email registered on Gradelink. In addition, the principal will email important school reminders or updates including closures. If you have not received these emails or you would like to add an additional email address, please contact the school secretary to update your information (cthomas@gardenhomeslutheran.org).
Soccer and Volleyball Seasons Begin
The first sports seasons of the year are off to a strong start. Our co-ed 5th-8th grade soccer team and our girl’s A and B volleyball teams are working hard with their first games right around the corner. Chapel & Mission Offerings
At the end of each week, Garden Homes holds a chapel service led by one of the school staff. This is an opportunity for students to sing praises and hear the good news of Jesus. Students are also encouraged to show their gratitude for God’s blessings by giving a mission offering that helps spread the good news to others. This semester our offerings will be going to help the Lighthouse Youth Center Ministries.
