Welcome Back!
Thank you, parents and teachers, for making the first few days of school a great success! Garden Homes is proud to be serving 285 students in K3-8th Grade. Our theme for the school year is “Rooted in Him” based upon Colossians 2: 6-7, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him.” We are looking forward to a new year growing academically and spiritually.
Back To School Carnival Recap
To celebrate the first week back to school, over 400 people joined in the fun after school on Friday, August 22. Students and their families enjoyed racing through a massive bounce house and numerous carnival games. Thank you for your support and look for updates on our next after school event.
Weekly Email Communication
Every week each teacher sends his or her classroom newsletter to the email registered on Gradelink. In addition, the principal will email important school reminders or updates including closures. If you have not received these emails or you would like to add an additional email address, please contact the school secretary to update your information (414-444-9050 / cthomas@gardenhomeslutheran.org).
Soccer and Volleyball Seasons Begin
The first sports seasons of the year are off to a strong start. Our co-ed 5th-8th grade soccer team and our girl’s A and B volleyball teams are working hard with their first games right around the corner. See the September calendar for game times and come cheer on our awesome student-athletes.
Yellow Sign Pick Up Procedure
The first week of our new pickup procedure is going well, and we believe it will continue to improve as we go forward. Each parent has been provided 4 yellow pickup signs with their student’s name and grade. Please continue to display these at pickup, either in your car window or in hand, so that we can be certain that your child is being released to an authorized adult. If you need additional yellow signs please contact the school office.
