2026-2027 Open Enrollment February 2nd-20th:

On February 2, Garden Homes Lutheran School will begin enrolling for the upcoming school year. For grades K4-8 School Choice applications must be submitted each year online and residency documentation provided to the school.  Existing GHLS families must submit a proof of residency document (We Energies bill, W-2, recent pay stub, etc).  Students entering K4 must also verify income automatically through the online application or by turning in all income documentation to the school directly.

School Choice questions and documents may be sent to choice@gardenhomeslutheran.org.   

Double check that your documentation is complete and readable, names and addresses are spelled correctly and match your application, and it is dated between 11/2/25 and 2/20/26, to ensure that your application can be accepted.

Black History Month Student Program

The annual Black History Program will be held on February 27th at 2:15PM.  The K3-8^th grade program will share the “A to Z of Black History.”  Gym doors will open at 1:45PM.  Students will return to their classrooms at the end of the program dismiss normally at the end of the school day.

Black History Month Family Art Night

You are invited to celebrate Black History Month with a family art night on February 19^th starting at 4:00PM.  There will be two separate art sessions taking place that night.  An all-ages collaborative art project will be created in the gym highlighting famous African-American leaders. Light refreshments will be available.

For our middle school students, an art instructor in the 7^th grade classroom will take you step by step to paint your own masterpiece that you can take home.  Space is limited for the middle school session, so look for instructions to RSVP to come home soon.

Black History Month Dress Down Days

Several Black History dress downs day are scheduled in February:

§  February 5: Color of the Culture (red/black/green)

§  February 13: Kindness is Our History (yellow/gold)

§  February 20: Black Out Day (all black)

§  February 26: Black History Attire

§  February 27: Classroom Black History Performance Theme
